Books
I set myself a project! - Around the middle of 2015 I was scanning through my photo collection and realised I had taken a good number of landscape photos when out walking locally during the winter months over the previous two years. So I decided to set myself a project of producing a photobook. The theme I had chosen was winter in the Cotswolds.
After spending some time researching how best to achieve this, I settled on using Blurb for producing my book. The main reason for this was because I could use Lightroom to edit the images, design the layout, add the text and publish it to Blurb. Seamless really. On refining my photos further, I decided to select images taken on three of my favourite walks all within a mile of my home. For stylistic reasons it was important that all of the images had the same look and feel and complemented each other to realise the theme I had chosen. So I spent a couple of weeks working on the images and converted them to black and white with the same distressed border.
It took me two further weeks with a bit of local research to make sure I had my location names and historical facts straight and I had my first draft ready. I got several of my friends and family and members of SYPC to proofread it and comment on photographic content. With that done I uploaded it to Blurb and within ten days I had my first book in my hands - "Winter on the Cotswold Edge". I was so pleased with it. Please have a look at the preview and if you like it you can tell your friends about it or even purchase a copy.
